Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
If the weather cooperates, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside. Dinner and dancing will be inside.
In case of inclement weather, everything will be moved inside!
What should I wear to the Welcome Party?
It's a costume party, so feel free to dress your Halloween best! We just ask that costumes are lighthearted and appropriate for a restaurant. If you are not a costume person, smart casual is perfectly fine!
What should I wear to the Wedding?
Our dress code is autumn cocktail attire! Feel free to embrace the Halloween spirit with subtle spooky touches or accessories, but we ask the adults to leave the costumes at home. Kiddos are encouraged to wear their costumes!
Please keep in mind that our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside on grass when choosing your footwear and outer layers.
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30. We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to park, grab a welcome beverage, and find your seat. Please do not arrive earlier than 4:00 pm.
Is there parking?
There is ample free parking at the venue. Please note, if you are driving from Philadelphia, that traffic on I-95 and I-476 can be challenging and unpredictable, even on Saturdays. Keep an eye on the traffic reports and build in extra time in case of delays.
How should I get there if I'm not driving?
We recommend using rideshare services like Lyft or Uber to get around. Media is a relatively bustling town with a few colleges in the immediate area, so rideshares should be plentiful. Check out the "Travel" tab for more information about our Uber discount code!
What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
Please make sure you indicate any food allergies or dietary restrictions when completing the RSVP form. These will be communicated to the caterer, who will do their best to ensure that your meal is prepared free of allergens. If your allergies are severe and you are concerned about any cross-contamination, please reach out to us.
What time will the reception end?
10:30 pm
Where is the after party?
For those who want to keep the party going, we will be heading to Sligo Irish Pub in Media for a laid back afterparty. The first round is on us!

A quick note about Quaker ceremonies:
In Pennsylvania, couples have the right to marry without an officiant in a "Self-Uniting" ceremony. This practice is rooted in Quaker tradition, and we have chosen to go this route as a nod to Emily's Quaker heritage and to the state we call home! Our dear friend Kay Carpenter will be acting as an "emcee" for our ceremony, but we will be marrying ourselves.
